Healing starts with a conversation — let’s begin.

New Patient referral Form

Every story deserves a new chapter.

At Cape Fear Counseling, we believe healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. No matter where you are in your journey, your story matters — and it’s never too late to turn the page.
Life can be messy, painful, or uncertain. You may feel stuck in a chapter that doesn’t reflect who you are or who you’re becoming. That’s where we come in. We’re here to help you explore what’s holding you back, reconnect with your strengths, and begin writing the next chapter — one rooted in growth, courage, and healing.
Our team of experienced, compassionate therapists offers in-person counseling, telehealth sessions, and group therapy to meet you where you are — both emotionally and logistically. We work with individuals, couples, families, and groups across all stages of life. No matter your background, identity, or experience, you are welcome here.
We are grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens in safe relationships. Whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, trauma, or just feeling disconnected from yourself, we offer a place to pause, reflect, and move forward — with support and without judgment.
At Cape Fear Counseling & Associates, PLLC, we’re here to remind you: your story isn’t over. Every story deserves a new chapter. Let’s begin yours together.

Therapeutic Approaches

We believe that every story deserves a new chapter. Our practice is rooted in the understanding that healing is possible, growth is personal, and every individual brings a unique narrative to the therapy room. We draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to meet each client where they are. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help shift unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build emotional and relational skills, and Psychodynamic Therapy to explore the deeper roots of present-day challenges. We also integrate Person-Centered Therapy to provide a supportive, empathetic space for self-discovery, and Mindfulness-Based practices to cultivate awareness and reduce stress. For those healing from trauma, we use a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment. No matter where you are in your journey, we are here to support your next chapter—with compassion, collaboration, and care.
